Had long weekend in Newcastle & came here twice for breakfast. Lovely cafe with great staff. So friendly & accommodating. Prices are good. Coffee is strong. Portions are big. What more could you possibly want?

We had an amazing traditional breakfast and a mug of tea.I opted for home made scone with jam and cream for afters, thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Will certainly be going back soon least we know where to go for a full English in the city now.I kept telling the waitress to round the price up and keep the change so she didn’t have to look for silver cos it was so well priced.

Had the most lush sausage bap this morning at Oliver's after a night in Newcastle to see a band at City Hall. It was dreamy! My partner loved his full English too. Lovely staff and Grainger Market vibes too.

Popped in for lunch after sons hospital appointment. Lovely friendly staff member came and took our order at the table. Advised may be a wait as busy but no exact time given to avoid disappointment. Anyway we were just sat chatting away as a family and watching meals being brought out, seeing what they were like as we had never been before but we still hadn't had our food and other tables that came after us had. My stepfather has little to no patience but he was quite happy just people watching he never mentioned any delay, if anyone would he would! The staff member came over to apologise and advise of an error with the order system and the kitchen hasn't received our order. We will be given priority and asked if we wanted any cake whilst we were waiting. we politely declined as long as our meals were next there's harm done as were in no hurry and could see they were busy anyway. A few minutes later I assume it was the manager came over to apologise again and advised to come see her afterwards and we could take some cake home as an appology for the delay. Our food arrived piping hot and within a few minutes as promised. I had tuna mayo salad and it was ample sized and lovely and crunchy fresh as salads go. 2 breakfasts for the parents and bowl of chips for my son. It's very clean, staff bent over backwards although they were busy still made time to talk to us and not just leave us to wait like some places would. Food was yummy and my son went to pick some cake to take home. Very kind of them to offer and see it through. Defo go back next time in Newcastle. Customer service does exist and is outstanding. thank you and hope to see you again soon

My family came to visit from Malaysia - what better option than a true Geordie breakfast in Grainger Market What defines an authentic Geordie breakfast? This isn’t my expertise (apologies), so I don’t really know the answer - but whenever I go to Grainger Market, Oliver’s Kitchen is ALWAYS bursting with life. All tables are packed with happy patrons. So I chose to bring them here - and we loved it A filling brunch, lovely cuppas, eggs Benedict prepared to perfection, good prices. We couldn’t ask for more. The staff were really friendly. The ambience was exactly what we wanted - the vibes of a bustling market place filled with fresh produce. My mother particularly loved the fruits in this market. Our first time in Oliver’s was most certainly a lovely one. I’ll bring more of my relatives here in the future for the experience

Had to have a second breakfast after walking past this cafe in the market. I like how family it feels. The breakfast platter was definitely good. Love how my eggs were done. Coffee was freshly brewed too.

A mindless walk into grainger market led us to our 2nd breakfast within an hour because we simply had to. Oliver’s smelt so good! The classic English breakfast never tasted so good, and with the market being quiet because it was early, it was great to just relax and take in all the shops while they were setting up. Thanks to Oliver’s, I know what a black pudding is now.
